English A exemplar · Criterion BiBOrbit Walkthrough

The narrator’s sense of self is unstable throughout the extract, shaped by the sterile, controlled environment in which memory itself feels unreliable. The writer’s use of fragmented syntax does not simply create tension; it reveals the narrator’s unstable sense of identity. By shifting from observation to self-questioning, the passage shows how social pressure shapes the character’s internal conflict.

Why this scores

  • 1

Names the technique – fragmented syntax

  • 2

Links to effect – the narrator’s unstable identity

  • 3

Returns to the question – the central conflict

Technique → effect → question.
That’s the move.

At launch we go deep on the highest-leverage components: Maths, English (oral, Paper 1 and Paper 2), Economics, History, Biology, Chemistry, the Extended Essay and TOK. We add new subjects and components every single week as the team grows, and the goal is simple: every IB subject and every component, fully covered. If your subject isn't there yet, the mark-system principles still transfer, and you can request it directly inside the community.

Your teacher tells you what's wrong ("needs more analysis"). We show you what to do instead: the exact sentence, the exact move, on real top-band work. Every walkthrough is mechanical. This is the choice, this is why it scored, here's how you copy the move into your own work. No "try harder," no "be more insightful."

It's the opposite. The biggest jumps we see are from 4s and 5s, because the gap to a 7 usually isn't ability, it's not knowing what examiners actually reward. Priya went 4 to 7 in her Econ IA without studying more. She just stopped guessing. If you work hard and the marks don't match the effort, this is built for exactly you.

You get real help. Inside the community there's a built-in space where you can post any question and get answers from the coach team and from peers sitting the exact same papers. There are also weekly live calls where you can ask anything about your subject or paper in real time. The walkthroughs are yours to rewatch, but when you're stuck on a draft at 11pm, this is where you ask and someone answers.

No, and we're upfront about that. The community teaches you the pattern so you can mark your own work like an examiner. If you want one-to-one feedback on your specific drafts, that's what the Intensives are for, and they open separately.

The monthly plan is cancel anytime, no lock-in, so you can test it on one component. The 6 and 12-month plans are a single payment and save you 34 to 50%, for students who know they want it for a mock season or the full year. Same access on every plan. You're only choosing how long.

Recent IB graduates who scored 45, with real transcripts you can see on this page, not screenshots pulled off the internet. They sat the exact papers you're sitting, at the top of their year, and break that work down line by line. As we cover more subjects, more students join the team, and every single one is a real 7-scorer in what they teach.
